In my digital defence, I thoroughly enjoy the current Kindle reader. However, like many tech fans I can’t help being more than a little interested in what Amazon are likely to offer up next to book lovers and gadget freaks.
Whilst 2010 was supposed to be the year the tablet killed off the ebook reader, 2011 is seeing sales soaring as more and more of us find the devices useful. Frankly its about time we had a portable piece of electronics with a purpose! I know that might sound a little strange coming from a tech fan, but honestly, some of the gadgets we are being marketed today, seem to have lost their way a little.
I like a gadget to have a point, and the Kindle sure has one; to make reading easy, convenient and digital. One of the reasons they are so popular, is that they are easy to understand. Whilst 2010 saw many of us trying to figure out the point of a tablet computer, all the over 50′s had seemingly already adopted electronic reading as the way forward.
2011 looks to be a pretty exciting time for ebook readers, tablets and other personal gadgets, but what will it bring for the Kindle itself? We, like everyone else have plenty of theories (and a rather large wish-list to boot), and will be bringing them, along with the latest New Kindle News as it happens!
